One Ten-Thousandth of a Second: High-Speed Through-Window Surveillance, Every Frame Clear and Verifiable

One Ten-Thousandth of a Second:

High-Speed Through-Window Surveillance,

Every Frame Clear and Verifiable

On the highway, a car with dark heat-rejection film on its side windows speeds past at 100 km/h. Just tens of meters away on the roadside, a fully automated infrared laser surveillance system, with a shutter speed as fast as 1/10,000 of a second, "pins" the interior scene onto the camera sensor and reproduces the surveillance footage at 40 fps—no motion blur, no dropped frames, every frame clear and verifiable.

This is exactly the through-window evidence-capture result that road traffic enforcement agencies have long awaited.

High-Speed Through-Window Surveillance: Three Difficulties Stacked

High speed causes motion blur: At 100 km/h, a vehicle moves 27.8 meters per second. A slightly longer exposure causes blur; a shorter exposure lets in too little light.

Window film blocks severely: It blocks, absorbs, and reflects light, greatly attenuating the illumination energy. With so many types of film, one solution facing different vehicles produces wildly different results—like opening a blind box.

Perspective effect and human eye safety are hard to balance: Close-range illumination provides sufficient light intensity, but laser safety risks are high and coverage angles are limited; long-range deployment suffers from the inverse-square attenuation of light energy, resulting in insufficient penetration.

Solution: Give Enough Light at the Right Time

Fight speed with speed: Microsecond-level light output is synchronized with the camera's 1/10,000-second high-speed exposure—light is released precisely within the shutter's open window, no more, no less. What does 1/10,000 of a second mean? Even for a supercar traveling at 500 km/h (about 140 m/s), the distance covered in that instant is only about 1.4 centimeters—a powerful motion-freezing margin, enough to clearly freeze every centimeter of a conventional high-speed vehicle's movement onto the sensor, eliminating motion blur at the root.

Exploit the weak spot: The visible-to-near-infrared band happens to fall within the weak zone of mainstream window film defense, avoiding the absorption band of nano-ceramic film and the high-reflection region of metal film. Paired with a visible-light high-speed camera, a low-cost solution penetrates mainstream window films on the market.

Balanced light control: Find an engineering balance point among output power, illumination distance, coverage range, light energy density, illumination duration, and human eye safety—covering the full length of the vehicle, with relatively low energy density and higher safety.

Multiple Practical Values

Verifiable evidence: Continuous shooting with every frame clear means a more complete image evidence chain, improving the efficiency of non-on-site enforcement.

Autonomous and controllable system: Self-developed automated surveillance control software synchronizes and schedules the entire chain—light output, shutter, and recognition—and can be flexibly configured for different scenarios, facilitating system integration and future upgrades.

More flexible deployment: Fixed installation for routine monitoring of key road sections; vehicle-mounted installation for immediate evidence capture during mobile patrols.

Covert and safe: Invisible light does not glare or affect driving safety, and is difficult to evade; on-demand light output means low average power consumption and low heat dissipation pressure, with small size and light weight, facilitating installation and system integration.

Conclusion

The one-ten-thousandth-of-a-second high-speed through-window surveillance system lets every vehicle leave its image—every frame clear and verifiable.
